Right Place, Right Time

You can give a person the usual chocolates, stuffed toys, mugs, neckties or whatever and make it special. You just have to give it at the right place and at the right time. 


For our anniversary, RJ gave me a huge bouquet of roses. I've received roses before but I think this is the most special bouquet I have ever received. :)

What made this particular bouquet of flowers really memorable is the fact that he gave it at exactly 12 midnight for our anniversary. :) That really touched me. :) When my phone started ringing, I felt my heart jump and I knew he was up to something. 


It's really all about the timing - give it at the right place and at the right time. Speaking of roses, I have more stories to share. I'll save it for another entry. 


Let me leave you with a nice clip once again from "How I Met Your Mother" - the inspiration for the title of this blog entry. :) It uses the right place, right time in a different way but I want to share it anyway. One of the best quotes in the TV series.

The great moments of your life won't necessarily be the things you do, they'll also be the things that happen to you. Now, I'm not saying you can't take action to affect the outcome of your life, you have to take action, and you will. But never forget that on any day, you can step out the front door and your whole life can change forever. You see, the universe has a plan kids, and that plan is always in motion. A butterfly flaps its wings, and it starts to rain. It's a scary thought but it's also kind of wonderful. All these little parts of the machine constantly working, making sure that you end up exactly where you're supposed to be, exactly when you're supposed to be there. The right place at the right time. 


Ted Mosby: So there you have it, kids, theres a lot of little reasons why the big things in our lives happen. If I had known then where all those little things were leading me and how grateful I'd be to get there... well, I probably would have done something like this.
