Anyway, what is this post all about? It's about an apology that my friend did which includes Toy Story and the Andy Foot Mark. I guess you need to watch at least 1 Toy Story movie to understand and appreciate my friend's apology. When he told me this story, I went like, "Awwwwwww"
But anyway, all of Andy's toys in the movie have his name written on their foot.
In the movie, the toys kept referring to their Andy labeled soles to define who they were. They kept saying, "We're Andy's toys" while raising their foot. In Toy Story 3, Buzz Lightning met another Buzz Lightning doll which caused confusion among the other toys. Who's the real Buzz Lightning. He later showed them his sole to prove that he was the real Buzz Lightning.
Anyway, my friend and his girlfriend were in a heated argument back then. Both of them wouldn't back down and the argument seemed to last forever. When both of them finally fell silent, he took a pentel pen and wrote her name on his sole.
Similar to the 2 Buzz Lightning confusion, it was Andy's name on his sole that authenticates his uniqueness as the only Buzz Lightning that currently matters. Haha yes, Toy Story has a deep philosophical meaning to it. You can read more on this philosophical view here and here.
So when my friend wrote his girlfriend's name on his sole, this was really a big statement. His girlfriend felt so touched when he did this and they decided to make up. :)
