Hachiko: A Dog's Tale - The Movie That Never Fails to Make Me Cry

Have you guys watched Hachiko: A Dog's Tale?

If you haven't, what's wrong with you?? Kidding! :) But seriously, you have to watch this movie. I watched this movie 3x on the same day and I cried 3x. In fact, every time I watch it, I still cry. They have a great dog actor! Hahaha.

Up: Live a Life of Adventure!

Have you guys watched the movie UP by Pixar
If you haven't, you've literally missed half of your life! The first few minutes of the film didn't have any dialogue but it was so powerful that it made me cry. Imagine, it was only the start of the movie and I was already crying!

Dream for an Insomniac: Mad, Passionate, Extraordinary Love

When I was back in college, I was looking through old org files and I saw a particular speech that really struck me. It talked about how our love for going to area (apostolate areas) should be like mad and passionate love. Even though we will look crazy and irrational among our friends, we'll still go to area because we simply love doing so. Rain or shine, despite getting caught in traffic or struggling to have time for academics, we'll still go to area because of sheer love.

This speaker quoted a particular line from the old movie, "Dream for an Insomniac"

"Shall We Dance" on Marriage: We Need A Witness To Our Lives

One of the things that suck about graduating is missing out on Philosophy and Theology classes. I miss those classes! Seriously.

Anyway, I suddenly remembered one of my favorite Philosophy 102 classes. I loved how my professor integrated Philosophy with songs (ex. Time after Time), movies (ex. The Gods Must Be Crazy) and TV series (ex. House) in order for us to have a better grasp of our lessons. There was one particular lesson that really struck me - it was about witnessing. This was the lesson where she quoted the Susan Sarandon, Richard Gere and Jennifer Lopez movie, "Shall We Dance"

The Danny and Annie Love Story: Love at a Time of Cancer

My friend Fid posted another great video clip on Facebook, "Danny and Annie."
It's a short clip about the love story of two couples: from their very first date, their marriage and until they died.

It moved me to tears. Maybe I'm really such a crybaby. It's such an awww video clip but really sad as well. I want to share it with you guys. This is the kind of love that really amazes me.

My Professors Changed My Life Too :)

My friend Paul posted this video last Sunday and it made me tear up. Awww I suddenly miss my professors. These are the types of stories that make you want to become a teacher. :) I remember when I was so disillusioned after my first job, I went to my past professors to seek advice. Teachers do make a difference in their students' lives.

The video is about a student, Teddy Stallard, and his professor. This video came from www.makeadifference.com, an organization created by Mary Robinsons Reynolds, that provides life coaching, seminars and books for self growth. Here's the Teddy Stallard story:

A lot of my friends have been raving about the new Steve Carrell cartoon movie, "Despicable Me" so I decided to ask my parents to watch the movie with me yesterday. Good thing my dad got home just in time for the 5 PM movie. Yaaay movie date with parents :)

Grow Old With You

I'm not really feeling too well today. I've been coughing the whole day. I remembered this song because of the line "I'll get you medicine, when your tummy aches" Haha, got sick last year quite a lot. :) It was nice having someone who cares :)

Say it, right then, out loud

When I woke up this morning, I suddenly remembered one of the killer lines from the movie, "My Best Friend's Wedding":

Michael O'Neill: Kimmy says if you love someone you say it, you say it right then, out loud. Otherwise the moment just...
Julianne Potter: Passes you by...

Love in the Classroom?

Ready for a bold declaration of love?

Declaring it in front of his/her classmates (or students) is definitely a statement.

The video above is an example from an old movie, Parenthood. I found this really sweet and it was really called for in order to...
