Cubao Expo's Future National Artists & Their 15 Tips for Aspiring Artists

Just this Tuesday afternoon, my mom and I decided to visit the Tuesday Group in Alan's Grill, Cubao Expo. We learned of this weekly meeting of artists when RJ and I ate here last week. 


Artists and their masterpieces really draw me in and intrigue me so I wanted to personally see them while they're at work. We weren't really sure what to expect in our visit so my mom kept wishing that there would be a lot of artists that afternoon. 

Little did we know that God actually filled the restaurant with artists! In fact, some of them had to sit outside already just to be able to paint.

I've always loved Cubao Expo ever since I celebrated my 21st birthday in Bellini's back in 2009. This choice was highly influenced by John Lloyd's One More Chance scenes in Bellini's. Hahaha. :P When we went there, I felt so intrigued about all the other thrift and trinket shops that I swore to visit each store. 


For one monthsary, RJ and I decided to go back to Cubao Expo and either eat in Alan's Grill or Mogwai Cinematheque. However, Alan's Grill closed down early that night so we had a late dinner in Mogwai Cinematheque. We loved Mogwai btw. :) Still, we felt the need to give Alan's Grill a 2nd try, so last week, RJ and I decided to tick it off our to-go list and finally have dinner there.

Cubao Expo's Mogwai Cinematheque: Taking Movies to a Different Level

Watching movies together is always a great activity to do with someone or with a group of friends. 

However, after a while, it gets boring to watch movies in the mall. (I'm seriously not a big fan of malls - there's just no heart there.) What's a great alternative? Mogwai Cinematheque in Cubao Expo.

I made this digital collage using old photos and some online photos for my mom on Mother's Day. I gave her two big sunflowers that day and gave this as another surprise. :) I worked on Adobe Photoshop btw to make this.


If you don't know how to use Adobe Photoshop, other alternatives include using Paint or Microsoft Powerpoint. Say what? Yes, you can use Powerpoint for layout designs. In fact, for making very simple tarps or invitations, Powerpoint is the way!  Here's how:

Cupcake Love Story

Nothing beats personalized gifts - most especially if they are edible!

This is our 1st month love story written in cupcakes. And yes, they are completely edible.

I wanted our 1st monthsary celebration to start with bang to mark the coming months and years to come. :) This gift may be a bit cheesy to some but it surely was memorable. I wanted each cupcake to bring to life memories and make us feel grateful for what has happened and look forward to what is to come.

Each cupcake had a story to tell. Let me share one of them :)
