Street Food Challenge: The Search for Philippines' Best Isaw Pt 2
Last September 2010, my friend Abbey took me to an Isawan place in UP which she claims is much better than Mang Larry's. Indeed they sell better tasting isaw but I went back to Mang Larry's to confirm.

Cello's Doughnuts and Dips: Soft, Sweet, Unique - Perfect Doughnuts!
Okay, I'll admit, I'm not a big fan of doughnuts. I usually take just one bite and then share it with someone since I usually find doughnuts too sweet and/or "nakaka-umay."
However, when Cello's Doughnuts and Dips came into the picture, I instantly became a doughnut convert.

Blugre Coffee: Davao, You Stole my Heart with Durian in my Coffee
A few weeks ago I was craving for Durian. Since RJ just came back from Mindanao, I now have 3 packs of Durian in our freezer! *smells our freezer* Hmmm...YUM! Thanks RJ!
With the smell of Durian dominating our freezer, I cannot help but miss Davao. I want to go back! Falling in love with Durian certainly was the highlight of my Davao trip back in 2009. And I just fell head over heels when my Ninong introduced me to durian coffee from Blugre!

One of the surest ways to make me light up is rave about a not-yet-popular but awesome restaurant. That's exactly what happened when my friend Rene mentioned a new Katipunan restaurant during the Ateneo Bonfire, Derf's: Pizza, Pasta & Coffee Bar.

12 Baskets Bakeshop: Reunions, New Displays and New Breads!
Last October 21, my friend Kiwee asked me to help her locate Fred's 12 Baskets Bakeshop.
It was her first time in the bakeshop since she came back from a year long stint abroad. She came just in time to see all the new displays and new breads of 12 Baskets Bakeshop!

Tsoko.Nut: Peanuts in My Coffee, Sounds Good to Me!
Last September, we brought our cousin to Robinsons Galleria so he could play Warhammer with his friends. After observing them "play" for 30 minutes, I gave up trying to comprehend the game. Note: I used "play" because bulk of the time they were placing then removing then putting back the figures in their war field. It was then I realized that I'm a nerd and not a geek. :P
My head started spinning from really trying to understand the game. It's that complicated - even the players can't explain the rules. They always need a rule master who calls the shots.
I needed coffee to relax so we tried out this new coffee shop called, Tsoko.Nut Batirol. We love the Chocnut peanut chocolate treat so we were sure we're going to love their coffee!

Grant Me Serenitea: More Milk Tea in the Philippines Please?
Fred has been raving about Serenitea since last September when I baked a fondant cake for RJ. He kept raving about how the store has its own customized espresso machine for their tea. Wow! That's a first in the Philippines - I think!
When we ate in House of Lasagna another time, I felt I was too sick to drink anything so I had to pass again. Little did I know that my craving for a taste of Serenitea was already snowballing to an insatiable thirst! I love Milk Tea. I even love 7/11's MineShine bottled milk tea. :P It may not be the best, but it's still milk tea!
My friend Kiwee, who just came back after a year in another country, wanted to see Fred's 12 Baskets in San Juan. I arranged for this and told Fred, "Let's go to Serenitea right after!" Finally!
After examining 12 Baskets' new glass shelf and trying out their new products, we headed over to this healthy tea shop along J. Abad Santos in San Juan.

Teriyaki Boy: Another Restaurant for My Green Tea Ice Cream Dessert Cravings
I have several comfort foods that instantly make me smile - one of them is Green Tea Ice Cream. Yes, the traces of Chinese blood in me is kicking in. :P
Last Tuesday, I had lunch with my friends in Teriyaki Boy, Alpha Land Mall. I arrived late so my friend later on had to rush back to work. I decided to stay for awhile and try out the restaurant's new desserts. I looked to my left and I felt my heart race as I saw a picture of the glorious Green Tea Ice Cream on their table standee! WOHOO! :) Another restaurant with Green Tea Ice Cream! :D YEAH! Haha, I'm such an impulse buyer :P
